The dissertation should be available through the libraries of the University at Buffalo, but this is the only part that's directly related to the azan. I haven't pursued the topic much since then. It was written 'BY' [Before Youtube] and finding recordings of azan at that time was a real task, but now there appears to be a wide range of styles available online.
